He was 20 years old when he first started in the industry and over the years has acquired a wealth of knowledge of all the trades used in building. His involvement with Housing New Zealand maintenance for many years means he has come across everything there is to see when it comes to maintenance and repairs. Gordie is very well known in Whangerei rugby circles through his many years' association with Kamo Rugby Club.
Kevin Thorne - Building Consultant
Coming to Guyco with a wealth of experience in the building industry, Kevin (known to us as Thorny) works in the Jobbing division as a consultant. Thorny worked for large housing companies as well as being self employed, offering additions and alterations for the home owner, before joining Guyco. Solving people’s building problems is what Thorny enjoys – each job is different requiring a unique solution.

When it comes to organising people, Pete is a master. He was a personnel manager of a team of 1200 earlier in his career and moved into the construction industry some years ago.
